Why become a member of OFMA?

Certification

The OFMA Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) program is nationally recognized and accredited by the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) as one of seven state chapters. the CFM credential is formal proof of floodplain expertise and professionalism. The CFM can be transferred between states. The CFM is recognized by many entities as required or preferred to manage local floodplain ordinances. The CFM adds the knowledge base and legitimacy practitioners need in the fields of floodplain and stormwater management.

 

Only members of OFMA are permitted to apply, test, and obtain the CFM credential in Oklahoma.

Event Discounts

All OFMA members receive event registration discounts. Once you are a member of OFMA you may register for an event and membership savings will automatically appear at checkout.

OFMA events offer CFM Continuing Education Credits (CECs) and hours are often recognized by other licensing organizations as Professional Development Hours (PDHs).
